An integral role within the Accounting department for MASI. The responsibilities will involve Month-end and year-end close, reporting packages. Inventory analysis, and participation in multiple audits. Management of internal controls and policies while working cross-functionally to identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
Accoutabilities:
- Manage staff of 2
- Oversee and report on large projects and accounts for the commercial business with visibility to the leadership team. Creating a consistent flow of to create transparency and collaboration.
- Facilitate month end close and annual audits
- Identify, create, and maintain internal controls
- Supporting AR, AR, and Vancouver accounting teams
Key Metrics & Financial Targets:
- Timely reporting packages for mgmt. review
- Deadlines for journal entries and reporting
- Make adjustments monthly
Own:
- Management of staff and accountability for accurate reporting of the supply chain balance sheet
Influence:
- All decisions and adjustments related to the commercial balance sheet
Veto:
- Adjustments that may fall out of the scope of what is needed for balance sheet accounts
Critical Relationships:
- All FP&A and Accounting employees on both sides of business, specifically management teams
Skills Needed To Be Successful:
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA or CPA
- 5-6 years of experience
- Team player who can work and communicate with all levels of employees
- Experience with Excel, Word, PPT, ERP
Compensation:
Compensation offered to prospective Team Members has taken internal equity into consideration and can vary depending on a positions’ location. The final agreed upon wage may vary based on the job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the individual.
