What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Driver position at Maritime Conference Center?

The primary responsibility of the Driver is to ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers during transportation.
The main function of the Driver is to transport guests and/or deliver items to and from designated locations using MATES vehicles.
Adhering to all traffic laws and posted speed limits is essential, even if it means arriving late at the destination.
Additionally, Drivers will assist guests with their luggage in and out of the van and occasionally to their guest rooms upon request.
This Position Requires:
- At least 1-year of driving shuttle experience.
- An active DOT card or the ability to obtain one before starting employment.
Desired Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent, including some instruction in driver training.
- Able to understand and follow visual and oral instructions.
- Must submit a current driving record with a valid Driver's License.
- Ability to use a GPS and two-way radio.
- Familiarity with BWI Airport area and downtown Baltimore.
Special Requirements:
- Must have a current DOT Medical Exam Certification for Commercial Motor Vehicles or obtain one before employment.
- Must obtain a current driving record before employment.
- Must be able to pass drug-screening.
- Able to lift up to 60 pounds for loading and unloading guest baggage and materials into vehicles.
- Ability to drive and maneuver a multi-passenger vehicle under varying conditions; and to stay awake and maintain concentration for extended periods.
- Maintain professional uniform/attire at all times.
- Must successfully complete MITAGS internal driver training and certification.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to engage customers in a pleasant and helpful manner.
- Flexible 16-hours per week schedule.
- May require evening/weekend shifts to meet business needs.
