The Jewelry Sales Manager is responsible for driving the performance of Marissa Collections’ fine and fashion jewelry business. This role leads the development and execution of selling strategies by designer, product line, client opportunity, and Stylist to achieve departmental and individual sales goals.
The Jewelry Sales Manager serves as a key partner to the Jewelry Buyer, store leadership, jewelry operations, and Stylist team. This position requires a strong sales leader who can generate and close business, develop the team, manage client opportunities, and maintain the exceptional presentation and operational standards expected within a luxury jewelry environment.
What You’ll Do
Sales Leadership and Team Development
- Achieve monthly departmental and personal jewelry sales goals
- Develop and implement selling strategies by designer, product line, Stylist, and client opportunity
- Provide day-to-day leadership to the Jewelry Assistant Sales Manager and Stylist team
- Partner with the Jewelry Assistant Sales Manager to deliver product knowledge training
- Coach Stylists on jewelry selling, client development, and closing techniques
- Establish jewelry goals by Stylist and client and consistently track progress
- Motivate and coach the team through daily communication, follow-up, and selling support
- Partner with the Jewelry Buyer on team-building and development activities
- Maintain strong communication with the Jewelry Buyer, Jewelry Operations Associate, store management, and Stylists
Clienteling and Business Development
- Identify, track, and follow up on jewelry leads throughout the year
- Ensure client profiles include important dates such as birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and other special occasions
- Partner with Stylists to develop personalized jewelry outreach strategies
- Create and manage OneShop templates and client outreach campaigns
- Track Stylist outreach, client responses, leads, appointments, and resulting sales
- Follow up on client opportunities before, during, and after trunk shows and jewelry events
Marketing and Events
- Oversee and execute jewelry piercing events
- Develop targeted client outreach plans for jewelry events
- Assist Stylists in selecting jewelry based on individual client preferences and needs
- Partner with Marketing, the Jewelry Buyer, and store leadership to support event execution and client engagement
Trunk Show Support
- Share designer line sheets and product information with the Stylist team before each trunk show
- Pull targeted client lists and coordinate Stylist outreach
- Create OneShop templates and messaging for trunk show promotion
- Support the packing, unpacking, organization, and reconciliation of trunk show merchandise when needed
- Track leads and ensure timely client follow-up after each trunk show
Merchandising and Product Knowledge
- Manage jewelry floor presentation by designer, collection, and key item
- Maintain a visually elevated and sales-focused presentation
- Partner with store leadership and Stylists during style-out meetings
- Ensure the team maintains current product knowledge across designers, collections, seasonal trends, and client opportunities
- Provide jewelry assortment photographs to the Jewelry Buyer and vendors as requested
- Communicate product feedback, client requests, and selling opportunities to the Jewelry Buyer
Operational Responsibilities
- Participate in the opening and closing of the jewelry department and store
- Maintain jewelry quality-control and product-checking standards
- Ensure Retail Pro and point-of-sale procedures are consistently followed
- Assist with ringing and processing jewelry sales
- Maintain loss-prevention standards and ensure all security procedures are followed
- Understand insurance requirements and coverage levels for jewelry shipments
- Follow established procedures for receiving, processing, and shipping high-value merchandise
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and operational standards
- Assist with receipt auditing and Retail Pro closing procedures
- Support ready-to-wear approval processes and Stylist follow-up as needed
What You’ll Bring
- Previous fine jewelry, luxury retail, or high-value sales experience
- Proven ability to achieve individual and departmental sales goals
- Experience coaching, motivating, and developing a sales team
- Strong understanding of clienteling, relationship-based selling, and follow-up
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced luxury retail environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational accuracy
- Professional judgment when handling confidential client information and high-value merchandise
- Experience with Retail Pro, OneShop, or similar retail and clienteling systems preferred
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, trunk shows, and special events
