Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to efficiently clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools
- Follow strict food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic chopping or ingredient handling under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing station and surrounding kitchen areas through regular cleaning and sanitation
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and equipment safely according to kitchen health and safety standards
- Assist with general kitchen sanitation tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal to uphold high hygiene standards
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with food handling and sanitation practices is advantageous
- Ability to operate commercial dishwashing machines and basic kitchen equipment is a plus
- Demonstrated understanding of kitchen health and safety standards, including proper manual handling techniques
- Experience in catering, banquet service, or hotel kitchens can be beneficial but is not mandatory
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
