Founded in 1977, Mariposa Women and Family Center (“Mariposa”) is a non-profit organization committed to empowering women, men, children, and families through comprehensive support services, including mental health and substance use counseling, as well as enhanced care management. We provide a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can access resources, education, and advocacy to foster personal growth, strengthen family bonds, and achieve their full potential.
We are currently seeking a dedicated ECMT Driver to join our team and help us achieve our mission and goals by being responsible for providing safe, reliable, and courteous transportation services for program participants. This role is crucial in ensuring that participants can access essential medical appointments, social services, and other resources necessary for their health and well-being.
Essential Functions:
Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure the vehicles are in good working conditions.
- Maintain vehicle trip logs and submit them Monthly to [Program Director/ Program Manager].
- Report any vehicle issues or maintenance needs promptly and complete the vehicle maintenance log with accurate entries to both Program Director and Director of Operations.
- Refuel and wash all company vehicles weekly.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of transportations services provided, including mileage, fuel usage, and participant interactions.
- Report incidents, accidents, or unusual occurrences to Program Director and Human Resources.
- Maintain confidentiality of all records and information related to residents and personnel.
Participant Support:
- Ensure a respectable and professional atmosphere, providing positive experiences for clients throughout each trip.
- Respond appropriately to incidents and problems that arise among clients to de-escalate problems as quickly as possible; using crisis intervention skills in communicating with clients and assist with containments in accordance with agency policy and procedures.
- Report any client concerns, behavior changes, or safety issues to the appropriate program staff or supervisor.
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy of participants in accordance with HIPPA regulations and program policies.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Use Outlook Calendar to collaborate and coordinate transportation schedules with other ACES Care Coordinators.
- Develop positive workplace relationships in accordance with company policy and procedures with staff and peers by offering appropriate support within a nurturing environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Attend all required staff meetings.
Additional responsibilities:

- Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education or experience.
- · Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- · Strong customer service skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
- · Familiarity with GPS navigation and local driving routes.
- · Ability to lift and assist clients with mobility aids as necessary.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- · Primarily vehicle-based, with frequent contact with clients and some physical requirements, such as assisting clients with mobility needs.
- · May require flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends based on client needs.
