Mariposa Landscapes, Inc. is seeking a Controller who will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving all corporate accounting policies, payroll functions, and administrative programs.

Essential Functions:
- Oversees the activities of the general and property accounting, internal auditing, cost accounting, budgetary controls, and tax planning
- Responsible for general ledger, payroll, accounts receivables, accounts payable, fixed asset depreciation, amortization schedule, credit card, treasury, and bank reconciliations
- Establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems
- Perform financial managing and planning functions including competitive analysis, forecasting, and cash-flow management
- Monitors and confirms financial conditions by conducting internal audits through the review of accounting and administrative controls, and provide information to outside auditors
- Prepares budgets by collect, consolidate, and analyze all necessary financial data
- Manage the accounting department to produce timely and accurate financial reports
- Oversee operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives
- Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
- Develops and presents a performance measurement metrics, demonstrating efficiency levels of financial operations and overall business operations
- Collaborates with senior leadership throughout the business and represents the company on critical projects
Requirements:
- At least seven years of professional experience involving accounting practices
- Knowledge of Sage 300 Construction and real estate, foundation software, or ComputerEase software is a plus
- BA in accounting or related field
- CAP license not required but preferred
