Mariposa Landscape Arizona, Inc. is looking for hard-working individuals to join our team as Landscape Tree Care Division Manager near our Glendale & Phoenix, AZ locations.
A Tree Care Division Manager directs the field operations of multiple tree care projects scheduling and coordinating all work and personnel as required by contract. This would include communicating with and management of Mariposa Tree Care Workers and property owners to ensure the quality of work meets all contract specifications and standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects, such as work order process, work assignments, equipment allocation, production monitoring, verification of crew hours, of multiple tree pruning, removal, and planting projects
- Liaise with crew leaders and clients/contract supervisors daily to meet their needs.
- Respond as needed for after-hours emergency work.
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively regarding job assignments and the progress of assigned tasks, while maintaining a high level of safe performance in the field
- Perform tree care functions such as trimming, cutting, removals, and stump grinding.
- Coordinate company resources for all projects assigned.
- Knowledge of Arizona 811 (Previously Bluestake) procedures.
- Lead the work activities of multiple crews for multiple projects simultaneously. Communicate with Tree Care Foremen assigned tasks and inspect once complete to ensure work is performed correctly.
- Effectively communicate with all Mariposa Landscape Arizona Clients – both internal and external
- Proficient in the use of all tree care large equipment, hand tools, and power equipment
- Proficient in performing all tree care tasks.
- Assist in hiring crew members.
- Obtain city permits as required.
- Able to perform labor-intensive work on a regular basis in outside conditions.
- Possess an understanding of Quality Control related to tree care.
- Attention to detail in tree care operations is a must.
- Working knowledge of billing and payroll oversight
Requirements:
- Is a Certified Arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture.
- Knowledge of operating and minor upkeep of all tree care equipment (e.g., bucket truck, chipper, stump grinder, chain saws) and ability to train crew to use it properly and safely.
- Current Arizona driver’s license and clean driving record
- Minimum five years of experience in the tree care industry
- Three years of supervising for the tree care industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of basic computer skills and iPhone/iPad
- Preference will be given to bilingual candidates (English & Spanish)
