The Extra Help Child Support Family Law Specialist will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:
- Interpreting and applying federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to child support enforcement.
- Conducting hearings and trials, and making decisions based on evidence and legal precedents.
- Presiding over Title IV-D child support cases filed by the Department of Child Support Services-Mariposa County or any other party in a support action or proceeding to establish, modify, or enforce child or spousal support.
- Conducting arraignments, including issuance and signing of bench warrants for failure to appear or violation of any other court order.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all proceedings and decisions.
