Electrical Engineer – 1st Shift (260413)
Our client is hiring an Electrical Engineer to take ownership of automation, controls, and electrical systems across a high‑performance industrial environment in Freeport, IL.

What You’ll Do
- Lead electrical and automation projects from design through installation, commissioning, and completion
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize Allen‑Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix)
- Support HMI/SCADA systems, industrial networks, VFDs, and motor control systems
- Analyze wiring diagrams and electrical drawings to diagnose, repair, and improve system performance
- Maintain and troubleshoot steam boiler control systems, sensors, safety circuits, and related electrical equipment
What You Need to Bring
- 5 years of industrial electrical experience with strong PLC programming and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with Allen‑Bradley platforms, AutoCAD, and industrial automation networks
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to work safely around high‑voltage systems, tight tolerances, and challenging physical environments
- Experience with steam boilers and boiler control systems (preferred but not required)
Salary : $85,000 - $105,000
