Duties
- Monitor security cameras (CCTV) continuously to oversee activity within and around the premises, identifying potential threats or suspicious behavior.
- Control access to buildings and restricted areas by verifying credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify hazards, enforce safety protocols, and deter theft or vandalism.
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as necessary.
- Perform first aid and CPR when required, providing immediate assistance to injured individuals until professional help arrives.
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate disputes effectively.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, visitor entries/exits, and surveillance footage reviews.
- Assist in loss prevention initiatives by identifying theft or fraudulent activities and reporting findings according to company procedures.
Skills
- Proven experience in security roles or law enforcement with a strong understanding of security protocols.
- Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) operation and monitoring techniques.
- First aid and CPR certification to respond confidently during medical emergencies.
- Background in military or law enforcement enhances situational awareness and crisis management capabilities.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to handle tense situations calmly and professionally.
- Familiarity with security equipment such as access control systems and alarm systems.
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail during patrols and surveillance activities.
