The Opportunity
As a Job Coach, you will help participants take meaningful steps toward their fullest potential. This role is built on relationship, trust, and mentorship. You’ll serve as a role model, advocate, and guiding voice while supporting individuals as they build skills, confidence, and independence in the workplace.
This is a seasonal opportunity with paid training and a defined program schedule.
What You’ll Do
Provide case management, mentorship, and career guidance to assigned participants
Assist with goal setting and development of individualized success plans
Monitor workplace performance and provide coaching to improve skills and behaviors
Review job requirements and help participants build the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for success
Serve as a liaison between participants and employers to ensure clear communication and expectations
Advocate for participants to ensure dignity, respect, and appropriate workplace accommodations
Maintain regular contact and provide ongoing encouragement and support
Document all participant interactions in accordance with grant guidelines
Maintain accurate case notes, documentation, billable time, and mileage records
Maintain organized and confidential case files
Connect participants and families with outside resources when needed
Develop and implement follow-up support plans
Maintain confidentiality and follow all Goodwill policies and safety procedures
Schedule & Program Details
Paid training begins mid-to-late May
Program runs June 2 – August 7
Work schedule: Tuesday – Friday
Training includes one Saturday session in May
Daily hours: 9:45am – 3:30pm
Additional paid time for transporting youth (if applicable)
Approximately 28 hours per week
What We’re Looking For
18 years of age or older
High school diploma or associate's degree
Valid driver’s license, active car insurance, and reliable vehicle
Ability to pass background check and drug/alcohol screening
Strong communication and mentorship skills
Ability to build trust and maintain professional boundaries
Comfortable working with youth in community and workplace settings
Organized and detail-oriented with documentation
