Part-Time Pre-Operative Technician

Position Summary:
Marion Eye Surgery Center is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Part-Time Pre-Operative Technician to join our team. This position plays a vital role in preparing patients for surgery and ensuring a positive patient experience from check-in through the pre-operative process.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for surgical procedures by obtaining medical histories and recording vital signs.
• Complete pre-operative testing and ensure all required documentation is accurate and complete.
• Review patient charts for completeness and communicate any concerns to the appropriate staff.
• Educate patients on pre-operative instructions and answer questions regarding the surgical process.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a medical office, surgery center, or clinical setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records preferred.
