We are seeking a motivated Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient experiences and supporting our doctors in delivering top-quality eye care.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, obtain medical histories, and prepare them for exams.
- Perform preliminary eye tests such as visual acuity, refraction, visual fields, and tonometry.
- Assist doctors with eye exams, minor procedures, and treatments.
- Maintain and clean instruments and equipment.
- Educate patients on eye health, medications, and post-procedure care.
- Enter accurate data into electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure exam rooms are stocked and organized.
- Support a smooth clinical flow by coordinating with doctors and other team members.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in eye care or a medical office preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail with a focus on patient care and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
