What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Counselor position at Marion County Public Schools?
To coordinate a Comprehensive School Counseling Program for all students leading to
academic success, career awareness, social/personal development, community
involvement and multicultural/global citizenship development.
Education – Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in School Counseling,
Guidance and Counseling, or other graduate level counseling degree.
Computer Skills – Basic understanding and knowledge of use of current technology, as
required for the position.
Certificates and/or Licenses – Certification in School Counseling (Grades PK – 12)
