What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Clerk position at Marion County Indiana Sheriff's Office?
Ensures laundry post orders are read and signed monthly.
Checks chemical levels daily (chemicals in barrels inside cage area).
Checks supply closet inventory daily.
Checks jail inventory levels (combs, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, soap, etc.) daily.
Fills out weekly supply order (trash bags and anything from warehouse such as toilet paper, socks, blankets, etc.).
Ensures laundry exchange is completed daily.
Ensures laundry orders are received and filled for intake, FBI room, and book out.
Collects dirty laundry bins from book out, FBI room, and basement control daily.
Ensures staff is communicating and attempting to resolve issues within laundry.
Follows up on call cards and grievances for laundry issues.
Keeps inmate workers on task. Oversee inmate workers on cleaning (such as trash areas, dryer vents, and behind washers and dryers).

Must be 18 years of ageNo battery or felony convictions
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written format.
Must be able to communicate efficiently and effectively.
Must become familiar with the Jail Division Policy and Procedures and MCSO Rules and Regulations.
Civilian Employees shall have her/his principal place of residence within the boundaries of Marion County within six months of employment.Work is generally performed independently; supervisory assistance is available when needed.
