Wagner Mechanical is looking for a motivated, top-quality individual to join our Electrical Service Team! This position offers the opportunity to learn a wide variety of valuable skills from a licensed electrician while gaining hands-on experience in the electrical trade.
As an Electrical Helper / Apprentice, you will assist with residential electrical service, installations, and repairs. This role provides a pathway to develop your skills, earn hours toward electrical licensing, and grow within our company.

What you'll do
- Contact customers to confirm estimated time of arrival.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers.
- Establish customer rapport to encourage repeat business.
- Respond to customer requests and resolve issues while promoting the company brand.
- Assist with installation of electrical wiring, outlets, fixtures, and panels.
- Use testing equipment such as voltage testers and multimeters to identify electrical issues.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical problems and determining appropriate solutions.
- Support electricians in repairing or replacing wiring, fixtures, and components.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment during and after projects.
What we're looking for
- Minimum of 1 year of electrical or construction-related experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of standard hand and power tools used in electrical work.
- Ability to assist with running wire, cutting, and assembling electrical components.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow directions.
- Honest, reliable, and professional when interacting with customers.
- Ability to perform physical labor in various positions for extended periods.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays.
- Comfortable with physical labor and hands-on work.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly.
- Customer service oriented.
- Energetic, positive, and self-motivated.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to job sites around Albuquerque, NM.
