Duties
- Prepare a variety of pizzas and sandwiches according to established recipes and customer specifications
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Ensure all food handling and sanitation standards are strictly followed to maintain a safe dining environment
- Assist with food prep tasks including chopping, assembling ingredients, and stocking supplies
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, upselling menu items, and addressing customer inquiries with enthusiasm
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including bussing tables and cleaning food prep stations
- Manage time effectively during busy hours to ensure quick service without compromising quality
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation within a quick service or fast food restaurant setting
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transactions
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods smoothly
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance sales opportunities
- Customer service-oriented mindset with effective communication skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate order processing
- Kitchen experience in a café or grocery store environment is a plus; culinary experience highly valued
- Knowledge of food industry standards related to serving, bussing, and general restaurant operations
