What are the responsibilities and job description for the Literacy Intervention Paraprofessional (Educational Associate) position at Marinette School District?
Marinette Middle School is seeking a Literacy Intervention Support Educational Associate (EA). The position will be responsible for supporting and assisting in literacy interventions necessary to meet the personal and academic needs of students, under the direction of the Literacy Quality Assurance Specialist. Position offers 5.75 hours per day, from 9:00am-3:15pm.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with evaluation and progress-monitoring of student performance
- Assists in the coordination of reading instruction designed to meet individual needs of students
- Provides small group interventions for literacy

Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Knowledge of child growth and development
- Ability to enunciate clearly and communicate positively throughout the work day
- Knowledge of the teaching-learning process
- Ability to work with people of various personality types
- Current lifeguard certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
- Meet one of the following Hiring Requirements:
- 1. Possess an Associates Degree
- 2. Completion of a minimum of 2 years post-secondary education, or
- 3. Taken and received a passing score on one of the DPI-approved assessments (WorkKeys ACT, Parapro-Assessment ETS or ParaEducator Master Teacher)
