The City of Marinette is seeking an organized, energetic, and community-minded individual to join our Recreation team as a Recreation Program Coordinator. This position plays an important role in coordinating recreation programs, activities, and special events while supporting the day-to-day operations of the Recreation Center.
If you enjoy working with people, coordinating activities, keeping things organized, and helping create positive recreational experiences for the community, this may be a great opportunity for you. The successful candidate should be able to communicate well, manage multiple responsibilities, and work both independently and as part of a team.
What You’ll Do:
This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position. The schedule may be adjusted at time to include evenings, weekends, or other non-standard hours based on programs and activities.
New hires receive paid holidays, vacation (received on your first day), sick pay, paid life insurance, comprehensive benefit package available, Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) – best-funded public employee retirement system in the country, employee assistance program and more!
Salary: The 2026 hourly pay for this position is $21.73 - $25.57/ hour. This position is eligible for the annual COLA pending City Council approval.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, recreation-related or similar experience preferred, strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work a flexible schedule based on Recreation Center needs and a valid driver’s license.
