Plumbing Expert

Mariner Plumbing | Tallahassee / Crawfordville, FL
Full-Time | Career Position | Performance-Based Earning Opportunities

Mariner Plumbing is looking for exceptional people who want to build a career in plumbing.

We aren't hiring for one narrowly defined seat.

Depending on your experience, strengths, and personality, you may ultimately be best suited for running residential service calls, diagnosing and presenting solutions to homeowners, completing larger installations, or a combination of those responsibilities.

We're more interested in finding the right person than forcing someone into the wrong position.

What We're Looking For

Plumbing experience is important, but we're not hiring based on years of experience alone.

We want people who are:

• Honest and trustworthy
• Dependable and accountable
• Respectful to customers and teammates
• Strong communicators
• Willing to learn and be coached
• Professional in appearance and behavior
• Proud of the quality of their work
• Able to solve problems instead of making excuses
• Comfortable taking responsibility for their results
• Interested in becoming exceptionally good at what they do

A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.

Residential plumbing/service experience is strongly preferred. Approximately two years of service-truck experience is ideal, but we will consider less experience for someone who demonstrates strong mechanical ability, character, communication skills, and a willingness to learn.

What You Could Be Doing

Your role will depend on where your abilities are strongest.

Some Plumbing Experts will primarily run service calls—diagnosing problems, communicating with homeowners, presenting solutions, completing repairs, and creating an exceptional customer experience.

Others may spend more time installing water heaters and tankless systems, completing repipes, replacing sewer and water services, installing fixtures, and executing larger plumbing projects.

As you develop, your responsibilities and earning opportunities can grow with you.

We want to put people in positions where they can excel.

Compensation & Career Path

Our goal is to provide a clear path for exceptional team members to build an exceptional income.

Entry compensation will depend on your experience, technical ability, and the role you're initially placed into.

For technicians who develop into high-performing service professionals, there is a clear path to $120,000–$150,000 annually through base/hourly compensation and performance-based pay.

That income is not automatic or guaranteed. It comes with developing the technical, communication, customer-service, and production skills necessary to perform at a high level.

If you're stronger on the installation side, we'll build your compensation and development path around that role instead.

Our Standards

We have high expectations for our team.

We expect you to show up ready to work, take care of your truck and equipment, communicate with customers, help your teammates, own your mistakes, and take pride in the work you leave behind.

You won't be expected to know everything on day one.

You will be expected to learn.

We can teach plumbing systems. We can teach our service process. We can teach communication and sales skills.

It's much harder to teach honesty, work ethic, accountability, respect, and the desire to improve.

Those are the qualities we're hiring for.

Why Mariner Plumbing?

We're building a company where someone who is willing to become excellent at their craft can create a serious career for themselves.

That means training, opportunity, earning potential, quality equipment, strong standards, and room to grow.

It also means accountability.

If you're looking for somewhere to disappear into a truck, do the minimum, and collect a paycheck, this probably isn't the right company.

If you're looking for somewhere that will invest in you, challenge you, and give you an opportunity to become extremely good at what you do, we'd like to meet you.

Apply through Indeed with your work history and tell us about the plumbing work you're best at—or the area you'd most like to develop in.
