Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process cash, credit, and digital payments while maintaining cash handling security.
- Greet customers warmly, assist with product inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure satisfaction.
- Conduct product demos when applicable, highlighting features and benefits to encourage sales and upselling opportunities.
- Manage stock levels by merchandising displays, stocking shelves, and organizing products to enhance store presentation.
- Support retail sales goals by promoting products effectively and suggesting additional items to customers for increased revenue.
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cash register operations.
- Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for transactions and inventory counts.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customers.
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail environments is preferred.
