Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers across the Northeaster and Southeastern United States, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Delivery our freight timely to the customer. Our primary book of business is drop and hook to keep you moving with minimal down time.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Manage route driving responsibilities efficiently, optimizing delivery schedules while maintaining punctuality
- Ensure proper documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in accordance with company policies and DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during trips
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the truck and trailer throughout each shift
Experience
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Minumum of 2 years documented experience operating tractor-trailers in a commercial setting. Clean driving record for the past 3 years.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial driving
- Driving experience involving route driving across local or regional areas is advantageous
