Duties
- Assist with concrete pouring, and finishing to create smooth, durable surfaces in accordance with project plans and specifications
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to perform tasks such as cutting, shaping, and installing concrete forms and rebar
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate placement of formwork, rebar, and other structural elements
- Construct formwork and scaffolding for concrete pours, ensuring stability and compliance with safety regulations
- Install rebar reinforcement according to blueprint specifications to strengthen concrete structures
- Follow construction workplace safety regulations diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure environment for all team members
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction projects involving concrete work or general labor is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings is advantageous
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including concrete pumps or mixers, enhances your versatility on the job site
- Hands-on experience with framing carpentry
- Demonstrated understanding of construction safety protocols and adherence to OSHA or local safety standards is essential
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions is necessary for success in this role
