Supply Chain and Inventory Specialist – Norfolk, VA (Full-Time)
The Supply Chain and Inventory specialist will be responsible for all inventory levels, product resupply and coordination and order replenishment for Marine Oil Service lubricant products.
Key Responsibilities include:
· Oversee and responsible for all inventory levels
· Receive, input, and process all new incoming orders
· Order any missing products needed for new orders while optimizing transportation costs
· Coordinate with Operations Team regarding inventory issues
· Manages stock levels and routinely liaise with all levels of management
· Coordinate with outside companies about product shipments, deliveries, and vessel schedules
· Investigate and track down missing or damaged items from inbound receipts
· Perform Inventory counts (with help of warehouse staff if necessary) and resolve any discrepancies
· Coordinate and execute inventory audits
· Learn and backup Inside Sales team as needed
The skills or experience needed for this job include:
- A 4-year degree and at least 2 years of Operations, Inventory, Customer Service or Logistics
- OR at least 5 years of Operations, Supply Chain, or Warehouse and Freight Logistics experience
- An understanding of “Just in Time” shipping
- Experience in a customer service oriented business
- Advanced organization, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to take initiative when needed and respond positively to change
- Possess a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass pre-employment background check, physical and drug screening
