What are the responsibilities and job description for the Small Boat Operator/Mechanic position at Marine Hydraulics International, LLC?
Responsibilities:
- Lead and assist in boat operations, navigation in and out of harbors and shipyards.
- Ability to maneuver small boats to dock and undock, to come along side other vessels.
- Shipboard support to include knowledge of launching and recovery of small boats. (17’-28’)
- Position will be a part of an established Marine Operations division that supports oil spill response, oil containment boom deployment, and line handling.
- Assist in other non-small boat operations on occasion, including but not limited to, general automotive mechanic tasks, vacuum truck logistics, sewer/drain cleaning.
- Candidate can expect to be trained in functions beyond normal operations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Trade school training a plus.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Possess valid state driver’s license, Commercial Driver License is a plus.
- Must be able to obtain TWIC and DBIDS badges.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Minimum of 1 year general mechanical and/or boat operations experience.
- Experience with driving pickup trucks with trailers on the road and in enclosed or limited spaces.
- Flexibility on hours/schedule due to customers’ requirements.

- Accurate Marine Environmental is a 24/7 Oil Spill Response Organization. With that, the candidate should be aware they will be on call for any emergency responses.
