Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and member-focused Financial Services Representative to join our team at our North Stafford Branch location. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for members, assisting with a variety of financial products and services. Your primary responsibilities will include managing member relationships, processing financial transactions, and cross selling our products and services. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a solid understanding of financial operations to help members achieve their financial goals while ensuring compliance and fraud prevention.
Responsibilities
- Manage cash handling duties accurately
- Educate members and cross sell/upsell appropriate products and services to meet member needs
- Maintain strong member relationships through effective relationship management strategies
- Detect and prevent potential fraud activities by adhering to security protocols
- Utilize financial software for transaction processing and record keeping
- Conduct retail math calculations accurately for transactions and account adjustments
- Ensure compliance with all banking regulations and internal policies during all customer interactions
Skills
- Proven experience in financial sales, customer relationship management, and upselling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally
- Proficiency in financial software applications and basic math skills including retail math and cash handling procedures
- Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently for data entry tasks
- Knowledge of fraud prevention and detection methods within the financial industry
- Familiarity with debits & credits, cash management, cashiering, and banking regulations
- Strong relationship management skills to foster long-term member trust
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
