Major Duties
What to Expect
Loads and unloads heavy boxes or recreational equipment, bulky supplies, and materials to and from trucks, dollies, cleans and sanitizes recreational equipment, operates a truck, tractor, or dolly, move and operate lawn equipment and recreational equipment.
Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains equipment.
Washes and waxes cars and trucks by hand or using powered buffer.
Runs hand and powered (walking type) lawnmowers, which do not require very heavy physical effort.
Moves heavy boxes or cartons by hand, hand-truck, or dolly.
Prolonged standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
May shovel snow, sand, or dirt from sidewalks.
Work may be performed outdoors, occasionally in bad weather, involving exposure to extreme temperatures.
Indoor working conditions may expose the worker to drafts, noise, dust and dirt and require standing on concrete floors for long periods.
Exerts moderately heavy physical effort in doing such tasks as frequently lifting and carrying moderately heavy objects, pushing heavy furniture, loaded carts, etc.
Restocks supplies in recreational facilities.
Performs other related duties as required.

Knowledge and skill sufficient to run and operate lawn equipment, variety of cleaning equipment, hatchets, saws, hand tools, and other tools requiring the same level of knowledge and skill.
Knowledge and skill sufficient to read signs and follow simple oral and written instructions.
Ability to work safely while moving light to heavy weight objects.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Lifts and carries objects up to 45 lbs independently and objects over 45 lbs with assistance.
Adheres to safety regulations and standards.
