Marina Village Veterinary offers a unique blend of modern veterinary medicine and innovative therapies, including Stem Cell Therapy, PRP Therapy, Cold Laser, Shockwave, Acupuncture, and Hormone Protective Sterilization. Our approach ensures that we address a wide range of health needs, from preventative care to advanced treatment options, all tailored to enhance the well-being and longevity of our patients.

Most importantly, we deliver our care with a gentle, reassuring touch designed to set even the most anxious pet at ease. Our entire team is deeply committed to fear-free practices and will do whatever it takes to win your pet’s trust. From enticing treats to cozy blankets, we’ve worked tirelessly to create a stress-free environment that conveys a sense of warmth and calmness. We also offer a "chill protocol" to help the most anxious pets before they come in for an office visit.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • High School Diploma Required: Further education in animal science, veterinary technology, or veterinary assisting is preferred.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment and Multi-Task: Handle multiple responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Computer Literacy and Clerical Accuracy: Proficient with Microsoft, instant messaging, emailing, and various social media platforms, and detail-oriented in record-keeping.
  • Strong Typing and Telephone Skills: Effectively manage communications and data entry.
  • Flexibility and a Positive, Solution-Oriented Mindset: Adaptable to changing situations and focused on finding solutions.
  • Empathy, Patience, and Emotional Intelligence: Compassionate and understanding, especially in high-stress situations.
  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills: Provide a welcoming and supportive experience for all clients.
  • Ability to Work as a Team Player: Collaborate effectively with colleagues to deliver the best care possible.
  • Respectful Attitude and Positive Outlook: Maintain a respectful and optimistic demeanor, even in busy workloads.
  • Ability to Remain Productive and Efficient: Stay effective during high-stress periods and medical crises.

  • Availability to Work Monday through Friday.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Get to Know Our Clientele and Their Pets: Build strong relationships with clients and their furry companions.
  • Answer Phones Using a Multi-Line Phone System: Manage incoming calls efficiently and professionally.
  • Record Accurate Notes in Medical Records: Document discussions with clients with precision and detail.
  • Schedule Appointments According to Hospital Guidelines: Ensure optimal scheduling to meet both client and hospital needs.
  • Screen and Route Calls: Direct inquiries to the appropriate staff members promptly.
  • Maintain a Clean Environment: Uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Provide Knowledgeable Advice: Answer client questions about veterinary services and products, offering guidance on wellness, prevention, and diseases.
  • Assist with Specialist Referrals: Help clients with scheduling and managing appointments when referred to a specialist.
  • Manage Records Efficiently: Retrieve, update, and ensure all records are current, including scanning attachments into paperless records.
  • Coordinate Domestic and International Health Certificates: Assist clients with preparing and processing health certificates for domestic and international travel, including gathering required documentation, reviewing vaccine and testing requirements, ensuring timelines are met, communicating travel regulations, coordinating with veterinarians and regulatory agencies, and maintaining accurate records for travel-related paperwork.
  • Handle Specimens for Lab Analysis: Receive and label specimens brought in by clients, ensuring they are communicated to the technical staff.
  • Foster Collaborative Relationships: Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Discuss Financial Policies: Communicate the hospital’s financial policies to clients as needed.
  • Process Payments: Collect payments, process credit cards, and balance sales to receipts at the end of the day/shift.
  • Promote Ancillary Services and Retail Items: Inform clients about additional services and direct them to our website for more information.
