What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Sales Manager position at MARINA INN AT GRANDE DUNES?
The primary responsibility of the Group Sales Manager is to generate group room and group catering revenue to achieve and exceed monthly sales goals from the local, state and national association meetings market with SMERF as secondary market segment.

Duties and Responsibilities
· Maintain existing account files and solicit new accounts.
· Respond to all correspondence from assigned areas and trace dates for reworking and follow up.
· Perform direct phone sales, email prospecting, internet prospecting and direct cold calls within assigned market.
· Set-up and conduct site inspections for the resort.
· Coordinate sales activities with those of other operating divisions within the property.
· Travel to feeder markets as required to generate business targeting designated market segments.
· Attend trade shows and industry events pertinent to the assigned areas and attend meetings, seminars and functions through membership in these affiliations.
· Participate in onsite FAMS
· Continually updates awareness of competitive activity by other competing conference center and hotel properties.
· Maintain a working relationship with internal departments, primarily conference services.
· Promote a synergistic relationship between customers, employees and other divisions.
· Maintain appropriate personal development.
- Exhibit self motivation and a high level of personal organization and time management.
· Ensure timely completion of special projects and other duties as assigned.
· Maintain personal integrity at all times and in all matters.
· Appropriate and timely feedback to supervisor.
· Perform all other duties as assigned
- Saturday office coverage on average once monthly.
- Work evenings and weekends, as required, entertaining group meeting decision makers.

Education and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, hospitality, business administration or closely related field. 3-5 years in a 4 Diamond or 4 Star full service resort generating group meeting business preferred.
