Assistant Manager – Restaurant & Bar

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Assistant Manager to support daily operations of our restaurant and bar. This role, helps lead staff, deliver excellent guest service, maintain quality and safety standards, and support efficient shift operations in a fast-paced environment. This position is located in rural Alaska, and comes with the challenges associated with the location of the venue.

Key Responsibilities

· Support daily restaurant operations

· Supervise, train, and motivate front-of-house staff

· Oversee back of house and kitchen operations

· Assist with scheduling, opening/closing procedures, and cash handling

· Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally

· Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards

· Maintain and ensure all employees have current Alcohol Handling and Health/Food Safety cards

· Coordinate with Maintenance department to ensure plant and building operations

Qualifications

· Previous restaurant or bar supervisory experience preferred

· Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills

· Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

· Knowledge of POS systems and basic cash handling

· Flexible, organized, and able to perform well under pressure
