The District:
The District is a medium-sized, municipal, water agency with a Board of Directors/General Manager form of government, 250 full-time employees and a $186.5 million combined annual operating and capital budget. Annually, the District delivers water to over 190,000 residents and businesses in the central and southern portions of Marin County and has stewardship responsibilities for 21,000 acres of pristine watershed lands on Mt. Tamalpais.
At the Assistant Engineer level, under direction of a responsible in charge engineer, performs professional and technical engineering work directly and indirectly related to the planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of water system facilities; and performs related work as required. At the Associate Engineer level, under direction, plans, schedules, supervises and performs difficult professional and technical engineering work in the areas of planning, design, construction, and operations of the water system; conducts studies, analyzes data and prepares reports on a wide variety of District operations; and performs related work as required. This position will be staffed at a level commensurate with the qualifications of the selected individual.Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis until a sufficient number of qualified applications have been received.
