Position Overview:
The Primary Additional School Care (ASC) Assistant supports our robust after-school program by applying Montessori principles, fostering collaboration, independence, and care for the environment. They help maintain a home-like setting with seasonal art, games, books, and outdoor movement activities. Encouraging children to function as a cohesive mixed-age after-school community. The role involves consistent supervision, collaboration with the ASC lead, and support for maintaining a clean and organized environment. Additional duties include conducting the morning playground safety check and setup and providing afternoon support during class lunch and nap time.

Required Experience, Qualifications, and Attributes:
- 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units; may accept candidates with six ECE units, but the candidate must be willing to complete six additional units
- Experience working with young children
- A collaborative and flexible approach to working with colleagues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds
Ideal Qualifications:
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Knowledge of Montessori pedagogy
