Major Duties & Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support IEP/IFSP development, provide consultation, and ensure appropriate academic, behavioral, and mental health services are implemented with fidelity. In addition to assessment and consultation duties, the position includes delivering counseling services (including Educationally Related Mental Health Services), conducting functional behavioral assessments and threat/suicide risk assessments, and leading crisis response and postvention efforts. The role also involves providing professional development, supporting staff with trauma-informed and behavior intervention strategies, maintaining required documentation and compliance reporting, and participating in on-call crisis support as needed. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong assessment, communication, collaboration, and crisis intervention skills, with a commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed practices.
Requirements / Qualifications
Certifications & Qualification Requirements: Candidates must possess a valid California PPS Credential in School Psychology, a master’s degree in a related field, and hold a National Provider Identifier Number (NPI) or acquire within a designated time frame. A valid driver’s license & evidence of insurability is required. Job related experience within specialized field is required in educational settings. Experience working with neurodivergent students with complex profiles across alternative education settings, specialized programs for extensive support needs, and/or intensive therapeutic programs preferred.
