Green Growth Group Cultivation Facility located in Mount Vernon, IL is looking to hire a full time Inventory Technician immediately!
The Inventory Technician executes company objectives by coordinating all non-cannabis inventory shipping, receiving, and tracking system control operations. This position utilizes Dutchie tracking system in conjunction with company tracking documents and GMP systems to maintain inventory and implement recipe functionality for Operations. Tasked with providing strong support for operations by working directly for the Processing Manager, they are responsible for reception & distribution of orders received to departments, organization, and functionality of receiving dock & staging areas, and maintaining adequate stock room levels for all non-cannabis inventory that is systematically tracked and follows regulatory compliance that adheres to the regulations established by the Illinois Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act and the Illinois Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Receiving orders of all non-cannabis related inventory into the facility and inspects all incoming packages, freight, and material to confirm quantity received and checks for any observable/visible damage. Furthermore, delivers all inbound shipments to appropriate storage area(s) or commodity area(s) within our facility by coordinating with management.
- The Inventory Technician will attend a weekly packaging meeting with the corporate branding and in-house management team. Furthermore, the Inventory Technician will follow up the meeting by providing the team with tracking update communication relayed by the purchasing team.
- Maintains systematic nomenclature specific to operations by coordinating between the necessary departments, corporate council, and the in-house leadership team. This includes but not limited to: categories, rooms, IDs, SKUs, types, items, strains, and measurements.
- Receive edible manufacturing ingredients compliantly into Dry Ingredient Storage room(s) within Dutchie and the GMP database system. In addition, it is the responsibility of the Inventory Technician to maintain inventory stock levels within this database and report discrepancies to company summaries and in real time with the Non-Cannabis Inventory Manager for review.
- Responsible for maintaining systematic and physical stock room compliance, establishing priorities, monitoring inventory tracking systems, resolving problems, and reporting the data to management in real-time.
- Coordinates with Non-Cannabis Inventory Manager to facilitate implementation of updates and features to the system which affect non-cannabis inventory.
- Respond to the various departments who may need information regarding vendors, products, or deliveries. In addition, coordinates with departments and Non-Cannabis Inventory Manager for items needing to be shipped off.
- Notifies the Non-Cannabis Inventory Manager of additional planning needs in advance of employee vacations, illnesses, and all other areas relating to managing the inventory tracking systems. Furthermore, reports to their manager preemptively when system errors which impact operations arise.
- Develop and maintain relationships with freight and small parcel carriers who make regular deliveries to our facility.
- Maintains professional and technical cannabis knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Always follows good manufacturing procedures.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 years of experience focusing specifically on shipping & receiving and/or inventory tracking systems
- Intermediate Computer Skills – Document Control, Inventory Tracking, Spreadsheets, Microsoft Suite, and G Suite.
- Ensures the stability and reputation of the marijuana cultivation facility by complying with legal requirements at the local and state levels.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and push/pull up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to perform the following physical tasks: Periods of prolonged sitting and standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes.
Pay: $17.00 per hour
