Job Description:
Seeking a PART TIME experienced Prior Authorization Specialist to join our team. This position will be responsible for the authorization of specialty medication for patients. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is organized and has great attention to detail with at least 1 year experience. Looking for someone with experience obtaining medication prior authorizations for patients. Specifically biologics, injectables and oral medications via cover my meds and other methods.
Essential Functions:
Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations for medications.
- Submit Insurance Prior Authorizations for Medications.
- Followup on submitted requests.
- Communicate with patients regarding their medication status.
- Communicate with providers and other departments to resolve discrepancies or problems
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- At least 1 year experience submitting medication prior authorizations
- Must be organized and detail oriented
- Experience using cover my meds
- Eclinical works EMR experience is preferred.
This position is for Part Time 2 days per week. 8:00am - 4:30pm
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
