EDUCATION:
High school graduate.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assists registrar with organization and implementation programs for providing information required to operate the school more effectively.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance
- Generates student association with non-traditional educational programs (i.e.: PLC and MAPS) as needed
- Update and verify students information in SIS
- Adjudicates residency discrepancies that occur via returned mail, information from families/employees, and transportation data; this also includes periodic, large scale updates targeted by specific data driven reports in the SIS (expired leases, affidavits, etc)
- Processes all student withdrawals and assist with new student registration; sends record packages to enrolling educational institutions as requested and works in cooperation with other MCS sites regarding student residency, enrollment, and withdrawal information to ensure accurate records and continuity within the district
- Inputs and manages all fines associated with extracurricular activity participation, property damage, or unreturned property, including checking returned text and media center books back into the materials management system
- Aggregates data for the purpose of determining students’ eligibility for various Marietta High School privileges; prepare and distribute related materials and forms for student/teacher reference
- Assists with FTE, student record data entry and coding as needed
- Manage GUIDE account-claim student, check claimed out report
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal, Associate Principal, and Registrar
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES:
- Ability to work successfully with parents, school personnel and students.
- Efficient in Microsoft Office to include: Word, Excel, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Publisher and data entry.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is almost continuously required to sit, and talk or hear. The employee occasionally is required to walk and stand. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and continuously will repeat the same hand, arm or finger motion many times as in typing. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level in the work environment is acceptable to this particular environment. However, the noise level can vary depending upon daily activity but will still remain within the acceptable noise level range. The employee continuously is interacting with the public, staff and students. The employee frequently will be required to meet multiple demands from several people.
