QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High school graduate with 2 or more years of college preferred.
Experience:
Training and experience in computer technology and operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for maintaining student records and files at Marietta High School. Process student enrollment, transfers, and withdrawals. Work independently in the performance of all functions necessary to maintain an efficient and organized office in a professional and confidential manner.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
- Manages all state required data in the MCS SIS for courses and students.
- Monitors and makes error corrections for FTE Count report (twice a year) and Student Record report.
- Update & correct data in preparation for HOPE scholarship reporting to state. GAfutures (STARS).
- Acts as the account manager for GA Futures; assigns accounts to staff; exports student transcripts; corrects errors; attends training/meetings; assists students and/or counselors with scholarship information; report Val and Sal; assists students and/or parents with GA Futures information; inputs REACH information.
- Runs reports for staff and faculty members as requested.
- Enters all transcripts for new students.
- Enters student grades in the SIS grade book.
- Executes the graduation process; enters final coding in system of record; prints and mail final report cards.
- Assists with summer school.
- Enters new student data/update as needed.
- Inputs New Student Transcript information.
- Assists with college advisement needs.
- Responsible for all computer information for students at all MHS programs and campuses
- Assists counseling clerks, as needed.
- Assist Marietta Mentoring for Leadership with updating information for REACH students.
- Works closely with MCS central office to ensure student data is correct.
- Maintains files as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.

- Familiarity with state of the art technology as it pertains to school and system settings.
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff and community.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is almost continuously required to sit, and talk or hear. The employee occasionally is required to walk and stand. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and continuously will repeat the same hand, arm or finger motion many times as in typing. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level in the work environment is acceptable to this particular environment. However, the noise level can vary depending upon daily activity but will still remain within the acceptable noise level range. The employee continuously is interacting with the public, staff and students. The employee frequently will be required to meet multiple demands from several people.
