Summer Camp Student Assistant Internship, Marietta Community School Program

Summer Camp Supervisor, Marietta Community School Program

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides assistance to students, parents, and staff in the Summer Camp Program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School student, no diploma required, must be at least 16 years of age.
Certifications/License Required:
CPR and First Aid Certification (completed within 90 days from hire date)
10 Hours online Health and Safety training as required by Bright from the Start (completed within 90 days of hire date)
Experience:
None
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
- Assists with carpool.
- Serves breakfast to students.
- Assists with documentation requirements set by Food Nutrition Services for meals served.
- Assists with morning Camp activities, including but not limited to, taking student attendance, assisting parents, and supervising students during morning transition.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and follows safety procedures set forth by Marietta Community School and Marietta City Schools.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
Oral and written communication, student management, knowledge of site safety procedures. Must be able to participate in routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry instructional materials and equipment up to 25 pounds.
- Dexterity to write on a board, operate a computer, and use other classroom technology.
- Occasional bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Clear speech and hearing abilities for effective communication.
- Visual acuity to read printed and digital materials.
