QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High school graduate with two or more years of college preferred
Experience:
- Experience working with databases required.
- Experience with SQL and data ETL techniques required.
- Experience in K-12 preferred.
- Experience working with a Student Information System preferred
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides support for the Student Information System and other district applications by managing data extractions and system-to-system data loads. Additionally, provide technical assistance throughout the State Reporting process.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
- Provide technical support for Student Information System (SIS), Aspen, including but not limited to:
- Creating and managing user accounts and roles.
- Maintaining user security and access levels.
- Preparing data for external stakeholders.
- Setup and configuration of SIS modules.
- Troubleshooting SIS issues.
- Engages vendor support as needed.
- Provide support during State Reporting. Tasks include but not limited to:
- Create and manage SIS ETL data extraction processes for State Reporting and other state-required applications.
- Assist school personnel and staff in data processes and data cleansing for state reporting.
- Assist school personnel and staff on resolving reporting errors.
- Develop and maintain SIS ETL processes that extract and prepare data for integration with district-wide applications.
- Monitor daily ETL processes and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Serve as district’s Department of Education Portal Security Officer.
- Troubleshoot and resolve program and database issues.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrate interpersonal skills with other personnel and general public.
- Demonstrate enhanced oral communication skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical and professional information related to computers and applications.
- Thorough understanding of relational database concepts.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand or walk, reach with hands and arms and will frequently repeat the same hand, arm or finger motion such as when typing. Employee will frequently interact with the public and other staff members. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision. The employee may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds such as paper boxes.
