POSITION TITLE:
Community/Lay Coach
RESPONSIBLE TO:
Athletic Director
JOB CLASSIFICATION:
Volunteer
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to support the Head Coach of the program
- Ability to be an active member of the athletic staff
- Build Teamwork/Leadership capacity in student athletes
- Comply with GHSA rules and regulations
- Ability to assist in the functioning of a successful program
- Provide instruction; assess and encourage student program; manage the learning environment; comply with state and system level regulations and polices; comply with the rules of Professional Standards and Commission code of ethics for educator
- Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or immediate supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a community member that possesses advanced knowledge of a certain sport or program based on previous participation or advanced coaching experience.
Working Conditions:
The noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet to loud, when around students
Physical Demands:
Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities.
