Petite MarieBette located on the downtown mall in Charlottesville is looking for part time baristas.

Petite MarieBette is a French / European inspired bakery & cafe, serving specialty pastries, sandwiches, salads, and coffee drinks. Come join a high volume, growing business with a positive, engaging, and team-oriented work culture.

Pay rate is hourly tips.

We are looking for individuals who can help keep standards high. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, personable, patient, team-oriented, responsible, mature and hard-working. We try to apply the Golden Rule in our business in everything we do and create a work culture of empathy, mutual respect and communication.

Staff will be expected to be on time, efficient, clean, and engaging while maintaining our quality standards and service expectations.

Schedule / Hours:

• One weekend day availability mandatory, preferably two (Saturday & Sunday)
• 12 - 316 hours available - can be flexible with this / potential for more
• Early Mornings
• Shifts vary from 7:30am - 4:30pm, 7:30am-1pm, 10am-4:30pm -can be flexible to some extent
• Some shifts run 9 hours long

Responsibilities include:

• Interact, serve and engage with customers regularly and professionally
• Prepare hot and cold drinks in accordance with customer needs at a fast pace
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area
• Help open and close shop
• Take orders over the phone and prepare online orders
• Problem solve
• Follow health and safety guidelines Interact with customers regularly and professionally
