Premier printing and direct mail marketing company in TN is busy. Due to client demand they are hiring a Sheetfed Pressroom Manager to oversee printing operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Direct and lead 18 - 20 press operators on multiple 40" sheetfed presses.
- Schedule and oversee jobs ensuring orders are produced on time according to client specifications.
- Train, hire, and discipline pressroom employees as needed.
- Schedule maintenance and preventative maintenance on presses.
- Assist with troubleshooting press issues and repairs.
- Order pressroom consumables materials and maintain inventories.
- Work closely with vendors.
- Work with plant and production managers to stay on schedule.
Qualifications include:
- Minimum 3 - 5 years' leadership experience in 40" sheetfed printing operations.
- Minimum 7- 10 years' experience in sheetfed offset printing.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Employee training, mentoring, and staff development experience.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Attention to detail and quality standards.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience ordering pressroom materials and working with vendors.
- Experience using Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement Practices a plus.
