Job Description:
Primary Duty: The Draftsman provides support to the production and sales teams by providing shop, construction, and sales drawings.
Status: At-will employee, full-time, exempt
Supervision: Supervision is by the President/COO and VP of Business Development.
Conditions of Employment: Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check. Candidate must meet the requirements of the full job description throughout the duration of employment with MariCorp U.S. and must follow all policies outlined in the employee handbook.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Creates sales drawings to help customers to visualize their final project.
2. Generates regulatory drawings for customers to obtain necessary permits from various governing agencies.
3. Creates production and construction drawings for contracted projects.
4. Creates and maintains a library of standard details.
5. Conducts meetings for the purposes of design reviews.
6. Performs other duties, as required by the company.
Other Important Functions:
1. Attends workshops, seminars, and conferences for professional development as necessary.
2. Attends and/or participates in company training.
3. Interacts well with all levels of staff and management.
4. Improves operational efficiencies.
5. Due to the company having substantial trade secret information and this position having access to such information, the position requires that a confidentiality agreement be signed.
6. Performs related administrative work as required.
Travel: Out of town travel is not expected.
Technical Experience: At least 5 years of AutoCAD experience, Inventor experience is a plus. Required Education and Certifications:
1. Position requires a High School Diploma; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred. Equivalent experience, education, and training may be considered as a substitute.
2. Drafting and Design Technology (AAS) is a plus.
3. If operating a motor vehicle while on company business, job incumbents must possess current Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and maintain proper personal insurance coverage.

10.Extensive knowledge of and skill working with computer aided drafting and design (AutoCAD preferred) and solid modeling software (Inventor, Solidworks, etc.).
11.Familiarity with steel buildings and standards steel detailing practices is extremely helpful.
12.Construction knowledge, especially with metal buildings, is very helpful.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
