What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian (Part Time / Temp Level 1) position at Maricopa Community Colleges?
Location: Williams Campus
Under the direction of the Custodial Supervisor the custodian will assist in keeping the campus clean and safe. They will perform routine and special cleaning of facilities and buildings to ensure they are clean, sanitary and in orderly condition. In addition, the custodian will support campus events and rentals including setup and breakdown if needed.
Essential Functions
75% - In maintaining applicable policies and procedures, sweeps, mops, strips, waxes and vacuums floors and carpets, cleans and sanitizes restrooms, locker rooms and equipment, empties refuse and recycle containers, dusts, polishes and waxes furniture and fixtures, cleans and polishes whiteboards and display boards. Assignments may include internal and external facilities.
10% - Cleans facility public areas internal and external to the building to include sweeping, blowing and litter/debris collection and disposal. Responds to requests for service and complaints from facility users related to facility condition and cleanliness.
5% - Moves furniture and equipment. Performs custodial services in cleaning carpet and upholstery and drapery.
5% - Keeps tools and equipment in clean and safe working order, reporting concerns and deficiencies to supervisor.
5% - Performs other duties as assigned.
