Job Overview
The Mowing Team Member works alongside a Team Leader to maintain residential and commercial landscapes by mowing, edging, and string trimming. This role requires safe operation of lawn maintenance equipment, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, visually appealing results on every property. Team Members help ensure projects are completed efficiently while maintaining professionalism with clients and fellow crew members.
Responsibilities And Duties

Job Overview
The Mowing Team Member works alongside a Team Leader to maintain residential and commercial landscapes by mowing, edging, and string trimming. This role requires safe operation of lawn maintenance equipment, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, visually appealing results on every property. Team Members help ensure projects are completed efficiently while maintaining professionalism with clients and fellow crew members.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Operate a variety of mowers, string trimmers, edgers, and other landscape equipment safely and efficiently.
- Mow lawns, edge along sidewalks and driveways, and perform string trimming around obstacles and landscape features.
- Assist the Team Leader in maintaining crew workflow and completing daily site assignments on schedule.
- Ensure work meets company quality standards before leaving each property.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, including fueling, cleaning, and basic adjustments.
- Load, unload, and transport equipment and materials between job sites safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized truck, trailer, and job site.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Communicate effectively with the Team Leader regarding task progress, challenges, or equipment needs.
- Support a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
- Prior landscape or mowing experience, preferred but not required
- Ability to safely operate and maintain lawn maintenance equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work, including standing, bending, lifting, and walking on uneven terrain for extended periods.
- Professional and respectful communication with clients, team members, and management.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions, including heat and humidity
- Must possess and maintain a valid Michigan Driver’s License. A CDL Class C, preferred.
