Quality Control Clerk

• Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), ensures nuts being sized meet customer specifications and that Food Safety objectives are being met in accordance with company policies
• Inspects machines and work area prior to day shift and at end of shift to ensure that area is in clean and working order and completes status form documentation
• Conducts control testing of walnuts and almonds and fills out Processing Forms in a legible and timely manner to be submitted to the Quality Control Supervisor
• Communicate with forklift drivers, machine operators, and general labor whom work at the machine
• Generates and places License Plates (LPs) and pallet labels on bins or pallets for completed orders
• Completes the Weekly Equipment Sanitation Checklist and Pallet and Bin Check Log
• Maintains work area in proper sanitation condition during work day and at shift day
• Complies with GMP's, SOP's, OSHA, SDS standards and Company Safety Procedures
• Wears proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the different tasks assigned
• Other duties as assigned

• Employee will be frequently required to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, crouch, and/ or crawl, and climb up and down stairs throughout the workday
  
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday
• Must be able to work with food grade soaps and alcohol
• Must be able to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays

Requisite Skills/Qualifications

• Read and write in native language (English, Spanish)
  
• Understands basic mathematical equations and has basic computer skills
