Marian House is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women and families in need through housing, support services, and life-skills development. We are seeking a detail-oriented Grants Accountant to manage the financial operations of government and private grants, ensuring compliance, accurate reporting, and strong internal controls.
In this role, you will oversee grant management, including budgeting, reporting, and reimbursement requests. You will reconcile accounts, track grant receivables, monitor spending, and collaborate with program managers to support financial planning. The position also involves monthly and quarterly financial reporting, supporting month-end close processes, and providing training or guidance to bookkeeping staff as needed.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and at least three years of nonprofit accounting experience, including direct experience with government and foundation grants. Strong knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and QuickBooks or similar accounting software is required. The role requires excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial staff.
