ATTORNEY (ENGLISH-SPANISH SPEAKING) IN-PERSON 9AM-5PM
Immigration-Matrimonial Law firm located in Kew Gardens, Queens, is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) attorney. The Candidate should have experience in client relations within a private law firm setting, consulting with prospective clients, court appearances, trials, and file management.
Attorney Duties and Responsibilities:
- Appear in Court before a Judge to orally defend a client's rights and best interests in Immigration, Supreme, and Family Court.
- Conduct consultations with prospective clients and advise clients regarding the ongoing cases or explain legal issues they might be facing or have concerns about.
- Prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, such as prenuptial agreements, stipulations of settlement, Statements of Net Worth, divorce packets, and immigration applications.
- Billing clients.
- Legal research and analysis of the details and evidence involved in cases, such as police reports, notice to appear, or pleadings previously filed in a case, as well as the applicable laws.
- Developing ideal arguments and representing clients in Immigration, Supreme, and Family Court.
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate in writing and verbally effectively in English and Spanish
- Willingness to meet personally with clients
- Ability to handle a high caseload and work on cases independently
- Excellent interpersonal skills and excellent public speaking skills
- Adaptability and attention to detail
- Team player
- Tech savvy
Experience:
- Licensed to practice law in New York
- Some Experience in a Law Firm setting (1-2 years is preferred)
License/Certification:
- NY Bar Admission (Required)

Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 commensurate with experience
