Job Description
- Manage survey and layout operation for a large cast in place concrete construction firm working in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New Hampshire.
- Maintain uniformity and consistency of layout procedures to support quality and reliability, from initial control installation to final as-built submission.
- Conducting site visits to assess project progress, identify potential issues, and gather data for analysis.
- Coordinating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution, including managing timelines and budgets.
- Recording relevant data on site performance, generating progress reports, and communicating findings to stakeholders.
- Strong technical knowledge in relevant engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, civil)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Experience in use of total stations and related accessories, including windows-based tablet-style data collectors with cellular capability, as well as CAD, Revit, Navisworks, Glue, Bluebeam, and MS Office.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative problem solver with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Appreciates working in partnership with Owners, Designers and General Contractors, as well as company personnel.
