Wastewater Treatment Technician
We are looking for individuals with 3-5 years wastewater treatment / mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial environment. Candidates must be familiar with basic hand tools and precision equipment. Georgia Class III Wastewater Treatment License preferred. Experience with electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics is a plus. We are seeking a well-rounded individual, able to work with minimal supervision, to join our team in a fast paced work environment.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain good working order of all mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and plumbing in the department.
Ensure preventative maintenance schedule is followed and completed.
Metal fabrication, welding and cutting with a torch when necessary
Minor electrical work.
Maintain Chemistry of the Four Cooling Tower Systems.

Dispose of sludge from the belt press.
Maintain Chemistry of the Wastewater Treatment system.
Keep an adequate chemical inventory to run the processes.
Log all parts removed from the Waste Treatment or Maintenance Departments
Maintain Chemistry and Monitor the 200 HP & 350 HP boilers, when running
Keep, maintain softener salt levels for boilers and whole plant water softener.
Maintain clean work environment.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Works with minimal level of supervision. Issues and concerns need to be communicated to the Maintenance Department Manager.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent.
3-5 year mechanical experience in an industrial environment

Physical Requirements:
75 pounds maximum lifted. Lowest point - 0 feet, Highest point – 5 feet. Frequency: 4 – 6 hours total per12 hour shift. Object lifted: Bags of Salt, Tools and equipment
20 pounds maximum carried. Maximum distance carried: 100 ft. Object carried: Tools and equipment/Metal Parts.
Maximum force pushed/pulled: 50 pounds. Maximum distance moved: 5 – 10 ft. Object pushed/pulled: Tools and equipment/Metal Parts.
Reaching out and up required up to 12 hours per day with 25 lb. weight.
Position requires occasional climbing of ladders or platforms and working at heights up to 35 feet.
Work is primarily done in a standing position. Position does require frequent stooping, bending and kneeling.
